Purpose and Scope
The Architect Assistant Manager will work alongside the Project Manager to develop innovative design solutions as well as participate in project management, and team coordination efforts across a variety of projects. The Architect Assistant Manager will also help ensure that the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality. This role offers a blend of hands-on technical involvement and leadership development opportunities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Assist to develop innovative design solutions for ready-built warehouses/ ready-built factories (RBWs/RBFs), oversee architectural design work, ensuring designs align with client needs, business goals, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends in architecture, materials, and technologies to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with architects and designers to prepare/review design concepts, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and assist in the iteration of architectural solutions.
• Support in term of technical assessment and evaluation for Contractors and Consultants during Tender stage.
• Perform project management and construction management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all safety and quality standards.
• Oversee the entire construction process, from pre-construction planning to project closeout.
• Coordinate and monitor the progress of work on site, including site inspections and attendance at site meetings to ensure projects are carried out according to operating procedures, quality standards and contract specifications of the Company.
• Perform regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
• Manage and document any safety incidents or accidents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and group policies.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including permits, inspections, and progress reports, etc.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to communicate progress, issues, and solutions.
• Support & consult other related departments in terms of technical issues for in charged projects in the initial stage as well as during & after construction period.
• Any other related tasks assigned by the Manager and/ or Company.

Qualification, Skills, and Experience:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in architectural design and project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or assistant managerial role.
• Having Project Management Practicing Certificate or Supervision Practicing Certificate for industrial project min. Rank II (Rank I is preferred)
• Experience working on diverse projects, including RBWs/RBFs projects.
• Experience working in a multiple project environment.
• Knowledge in project and design management tools, reporting, processes, and documentation.
• Knowledge of HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environmental) standards and procedures
• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, tools, and industry standards
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, quality control, methods, and materials.
• Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and other architectural modelling tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications and planning/scheduling programs.
• Understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements including fire-fighting codes & standards, and sustainability practices e.g. Leed, Edge, Lotus, etc.
• Awareness of authorities’ application procedure for key operating permits e.g. EPP, Master Plan 1/500 approval, Feasibility Report Appraisal, Construction Permit, Operation Permit, etc.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English, with the ability to convey complex design ideas to a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Strong initiatives with passion and drive to succeed, good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Working Conditions: Full-time position, occasional travel to project sites or on-site allocated during construction time if required.
