Actuarial Officer - Team Pricing

1. PURPOSE

2. ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Design and price new products within agreed timelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

• Prepare approval documents for the Product Committee, Regional Office, and regulatory authorities.

• Liaise with external stakeholders such as reinsurers and TPAs on product-related matters.

• Maintain and manage pricing models to perform profitability analyses.

• Support agency and alternative distribution channels with new initiatives and partnership opportunities.

3. REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, or related fields.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in life insurance.

• Comprehensive understanding of the local life insurance market, including products and regulations.

Technical skills

• Demonstrated progress in actuarial qualifications.

• Strong mathematical, research, analytical skills.

• Problem-solving

• Proficiency in Excel, Access, and relevant actuarial modelling tools.

Soft skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with fluency in English.

• Strong self-learning orientation.

Personal attributes

• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• High attention to detail and commitment to actuarial examination progression.

• Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
