JOB PURPOSE
The Academic Branding Specialist will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of VinUniversity’s academic branding strategy aligned with VinUniversity’s mission of becoming a world-class institution by Vision 2030. This role will focus on enhancing the university’s academic reputation through communication initiatives, promoting faculty achievements, scholarly works, and academic excellence to internal and external stakeholders.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Academic Branding Support:
• Assist in implementing VinUniversity’s academic branding strategy to establish the university as a leader in education and research.
• Help communicate the university’s academic strengths, faculty achievements, and research excellence to external stakeholders.
Promotion of Scholarly Works:
• Support faculty and researchers in promoting their academic achievements and publications across local, regional, and global platforms.
• Help identify and highlight key scholarly initiatives from academic departments for inclusion in marketing and communication campaigns.
Academic Reputation Management:
• Contribute to content creation to enhance VinUniversity‘s reputation, focusing on academic milestones, research impact, and collaborations.
• Track and monitor academic branding efforts to ensure continuous improvement of visibility and reputation.
Academic Contact Database Management:
• Assist in maintaining and updating the university’s database of academic contacts.
• Facilitate communication with key contacts to share academic and research developments and strengthen relationships to support the university’s reputation.
Collaboration with Internal & External Stakeholders:
• Support the alignment of academic branding efforts with the university’s strategic goals by working closely with faculty, leadership, and the marketing team.
• Assist in engaging with academic organizations, alumni, and external partners to enhance VinUniversity’s academic reputation globally.
Events & Conferences Support:
• Help organize academic events, seminars, webinars, and conferences that showcase VinUniversity’s research and academic leadership.
• Research and recommend academic conferences and events that align with the university’s branding and academic goals.
• Provide support for faculty and researchers in their participation in prestigious international academic events.
Internal Communications:
• Assist in the development and execution of internal communication strategies for the President’s and Provost’s offices, TMO, and university-wide campaigns.
• Ensure smooth communication across academic and administrative departments, aligning internal stakeholders with the university’s academic objectives.

Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience:
• 2-4 years of experience in academic branding, communications, or public relations, preferably within higher education or a related industry.
• Experience in writing and content creation, with an understanding of academic communications and branding.
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging content for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in social media platforms, digital marketing, and content management tools.
• Knowledge of academic branding, media relations, and higher education communication trends.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
